Hi. I’m Jen.

I'm a writer — also a mother, a partner, a renovator of old houses, and someone who has been paying attention for a long time. I hold an MFA in Writing from Hamline University and spent years in television news before I started writing about things that keep me up at night. I’ve written for the Kansas City Star, Design KC, Forbes, Hallmark, Tony’s Chocolonely and Fruit of the Loom. I'm currently at work on a graphic novel and, reluctantly, memoir. Sometimes, I coach people writing books.

I think about things in different ways on different channels. This is where I:

Talk about my family and my house: @misses.moore

Practice paying attention: @thisistemporarytoo

Write about time, change and identity: This is temporary.

Overthink writing, the creative process, and storytelling: @jenmazimoore

Now is all there is. Make something anyway.

Let’s connect.

Interested in working together? Fill out some info and I’ll be in touch. Likely will take longer than both of us expect — sorry I’m slow.
